Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all phases of concrete construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient progress.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and adhere to project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal construction regulations.
- Lead project meetings to discuss project status, address issues, and align on objectives.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage procurement and logistics of materials and equipment.
- Oversee and ensure the quality of concrete mixes and placement techniques.
- Supervise and mentor project team members, including foremen and laborers.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of project activities and changes.
- Facilitate final inspections and ensure successful project completion and handover.
Position Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the concrete or construction industry
- Proven track record of managing complex concrete projects from inception to completion
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
- Familiarity with safety standards and risk management practices
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
